OUR HOLIDAY COTTAGE

Bodlondeb is situated on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park, only 20 minutes from the foot of the Watkins path and Pen-y-pas and 10 minutes from the picturesque Beddgelert.  Beautiful beaches are moments away with a huge golden coastline to explore.  There are lakes closely for those who enjoy watersports - North Wales has it all!

The cottage has been recently upgraded to include modern facilities such as central heating and wi-fi and original features have been restored to include a log burner and original stone fireplace.  We have also included a travel cot, hairdryer, towels and linen for your stay and we are happy for one furry friend to accompany you but they must stay down stairs.

There are a variety of pubs and restaurants to choose from in the local area, some of our favourites include The Golden Fleece and the Union Inn (both just across the village square), Caffi Gwynant - by the Watkins path, The Grapes Hotel - Maentwrog , Y Bistro yn yr Hebog in Beddgelert and Dylans in Criccieth.

ABOUT THE AREA

Make it a a visit to remember

With so many options right on your doorstop, it can be hard to decide how to spend your time in and around Snowdonia.
For the mountain lovers, there is the obvious attraction of climbing Snowdon on any of the main paths.  Other may choose to climb Nantlle ridge, or the Ogwen valley.
For those who like watersports, close by, you will find Llyn Dinas and Llyn Gwynant which are just past Beddgelert. We love to visit Llyn Padarn near Llanberis which has a beautiful backdrop, easy water access with a Jetty, and there is a hire centre across the road.  A little further away you will find Lake Bala with a huge amount of activities to offer.
If the beach is more your thing, the closest beach is Black Rock Sands and Borth-y-gest cove.  The town of Harlech with its castle and wide golden bay is just a 15 minute drive from Tremadog. There are many beaches along the north and south coast of the Lyn peninsula, we like to stop off at Llanbedrog and enjoy a visit to Abersoch beach and the town.  Porthdinllaen is on the north coast of the peninsula and offers a great pub on the beach, Ty Coch Inn.  Those who like to explore will find many stunning beaches on Anglesey including Llanddwyn Beach by Newborough Forest.
